tidal boundaries

action 6: wind work
action 5: driftwood
action 6: wind work
the fifth and sixth in a suite of environmentally responsive actions undertaken at Redleaf beach in Sydney's east over the course of a 4 month residency
Driftwood from the beach, metallic pigments
Delivered by the waves next to the fence, by chance. It became a part of the suite by washing up at the time we were doing one of the other works.
Wind work process video below (as YouTube link)
Bubble mixture, fence, wind.
Using the breach in the fence to create a boundary as ephemeral as possible. It was prompted by the fence’s position, North-South: the wind coming off the ocean runs straight through the fence. Wind has had a strong presence in this suite of works and in the studio, and is here made the main constituent element.
Process/Script: This did not create a surface to be collaborated on, but was an ephemeral and playful performance.
