A sorrowing ritual diary made of incense & cloth
in remembrance of Ross Gibson & other mourned beings
Vintage linen handkerchiefs, suffused with the scent of incense and then painted with incense ash, made through daily rituals while in residence at Bundanon and hung as a diary of mourning.
Reconfigured for display at Articulate, alongside the glass cloche in which the suffusing took place, video documentation of the daily rituals and a wagga fashioned from the clothing of the artist’s late husband, Ross Gibson.
